Cuba Study Group is a non-partisan policy and advocacy organization formed by Cuban-American business leaders and young professionals. It envisions a free, sovereign, inclusive, and prosperous Cuba in which all citizens have opportunities to pursue their aspirations, and it seeks to apply its experience in leadership, problem solving, and wealth creation to support the Cuban people. Based in Washington, DC, the group operates within the international affairs sphere and centers its work on civic engagement and policy-focused dialogue. The organization aims to remove both external constraints and internal barriers to change, with the goal of empowering individuals and fostering civil society development in Cuba. It maintains independence from U.S. government funding in its operations. In June 2020, Cuba Study Group launched Nuevos Espacios, a platform intended to surface essential voices and trends shaping Cuban society.
