Cultures of Dignity is a Boulder, Colorado-based organization that collaborates with communities to transform the approach to young people’s physical and emotional wellbeing within education. Founded by Rosalind Wiseman and Charlie Kuhn, the group focuses on creating cultures of dignity for administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students, aiming for learning environments where all individuals feel valued and safe. The organization serves as a consultant and educational partner, delivering speeches, trainings, publications, and other programs to shift perceptions and practices around children and teens’ wellbeing. In addition to its core consulting work, Cultures of Dignity has engaged in partnerships, such as a collaboration with the American School Counselor Association in November 2020 to support school counselors in navigating emotionally charged conversations following a contentious election.
