The law firm of Cuneo Black Ward & Missler was established in November 1984. At its founding, the Firm's partners brought nearly fifty years of combined experience in Workers' Compensation law and subrogation. The firm has attained an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and Adjusters.

The Firm's practice is devoted exclusively to the representation of employers and insurers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and Civil and Appellate Courts on matters pertaining to Workers' Compensation and subrogation. Cuneo Black Ward & Missler was founded on the principle that clients are best served by attorneys who are committed to excellence in work product, discipline in the use of resources and professionalism in their dealings with litigants and the courts.

The Firm is approved by the California State Bar as a provider of continuing education programs. A structured mentoring program also exists to enhance the professional development of younger attorneys.
