The Cupertino Library Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization. 

The Foundation’s vision is to encourage life-long learning and self-improvement through the Cupertino Library so that library users of all ages may become more knowledgeable and better informed, more enlightened and more proactive members of the community. 

In order to accomplish its vision the Foundation acts both as a catalyst for new projects and programs as well as a bridge allowing communication back and forth from the community and the library.  The organization considers various opportunities and evaluates them using the three criteria of how many, how deeply and how much.  Examples of significant projects underway include the S3 - Super Science Searches with Middle School students, and the Tech Toolbar located in the Cupertino Library.

The Foundation seeks major donations from corporations, the business community, from other foundations, as well as individual donations and planned gifts and bequests.
