Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) was founded in 1860 and serves approximately 26,000 students across 35 schools within the Chino Valley and South Ontario areas. Home to 21 California Distinguished Schools, students receive a rigorous, 21st century education in preparation for college and career. Thriving performing arts and athletic programs, nationally recognized marching bands and engaging parent-school partnerships distinguish CVUSD as one of the best school districts in CA. 
CVUSD consists of 20 elementary schools, two K-8 schools, five junior high schools, four comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one adult school, one learning academy, and one STEM academy. 
The District is also home to National Blue Ribbon Schools, Title I Achieving Schools, Honor Roll Schools, and a CDE Service-Learning Leaders School. Other notable recognitions include the Golden Bell Award, the Milken Educator Award, multiple County & State Teachers of the Year Awards, and the CA Pivotal Practices Award. CVUSD has been honored by the College Board for increasing access to AP course work while simultaneously maintaining/increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams. Student test scores traditionally lead schools throughout the County of San Bernardino and the state.
Furthermore, CVUSD has been designated as a Model School Attendance Review Board (SARB) by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction for its attendance improvement and decreasing dropout rates.
The District is responsive to the needs of its students and families through a wide variety of programs. Before and after school care is available, the HOPE Family Resource Centers assists with food, clothing, counseling, housing information, tutoring referrals, and more, and the CVUSD “one-stop-shop” for students provides invaluable resources regarding harassment and bullying, emotional, social, and mental health, suicide prevention, and anonymous crime reporting.
