The Département de la Manche is a department-level public administration in the Normandy region of France, based in Saint-lô. It serves about half a million residents over 5,938 square kilometers, spanning 470 communes organized into eight intercommunalities. The department employs a substantial workforce and operates a network of 114 sites, including the Maison du Département, social and medico-social centers, solidarity facilities, collèges, and other public venues.
