The Delaware State News has served Dover and the state’s lower two counties for more than six decades.
On Sept. 14, 1953, the newspaper published its first daily edition, becoming the first daily in the capital of the First State.

Since no dividends are paid, the company is able to thrive on profit margins below industry standards.
