Dakota Jackson is a New York City–based design firm and furniture manufacturer founded in 1970. It operates as a multidisciplinary studio producing furnishings for high-end residences, offices, hotels, educational facilities, and public institutions. Manufacturing takes place in locations in the United States and abroad, with flagship showrooms in New York and Los Angeles and a worldwide distribution network. In addition to furniture, the firm has designed and built pianos since the late 1970s, including a 1998 limited edition created for Steinway & Sons to commemorate its 300th anniversary. The most recent piano project is The Black Diamond Piano, a limited edition inspired by Lang Lang.
