The Dallas Museum of Art, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas, is a prominent art institution in the United States. Its collections exceed 24,000 works spanning 5,000 years and cover a wide range of world cultures, with notable strength in its contemporary holdings as well as art from the Americas, Decorative Arts, Africa, and Indonesia. Founded in 1903, it welcomes more than 800,000 visitors annually and offers a program of exhibitions, lectures, concerts, and other public programming.
