The Dallas Zoo, established in 1888, is the largest zoological experience in Texas. As an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) for 35 years, the Zoo is home to over 2,000 animals representing more than 400 species. The Dallas Zoo's mission is Engaging People & Saving Wildlife. By offering guests real-world opportunities to make memorable connections with wildlife and enhancing their experience with conservation messaging, the Zoo aims to inspire and empower visitors to take action for wildlife in Texas and around the world.

Each year, the Dallas Zoo welcomes over one million guests to explore its award-winning naturalistic habitats and learn about its diverse animal collection.
