Established in 1959, the library gives people living in Boone and Callaway Counties free access to information at its four library buildings (Columbia, Ashland, Holts Summit and Fulton), on the bookmobile and through the digital branch, www.dbrl.org. People can reserve materials and pick them up at Library-To-Go locations in Hallsville.

DBRL is funded primarily through property tax income. State aid, interest income, grants, bequests and donations, and copier/printer income make up the rest of the system’s revenue.
