The Darien River House Restaurant & Wine Bar, hence it’s name, is located just across the street from the Darien River and it’s famous shrimp boats including a waterfront municipal park and 2 city operated and owned public docks. Come and enjoy a fine meal and excellent wine in our beautifully restored circa 1867 Victorian lovingly located under the mossy maritime oaks of the Darien River Bluff. You have the option of arriving by foot, or by car, taking advantage of ample parking or even by boat with easy access to two public docks within 2000 feet of our front door. After you arrive, you will be treated to true southern hospitality, fine food & wine and the warm feeling that you’re eating in a friends beautifully restored Victorian home.
Chef Eric Lynch has 30 years of experience working in relaxed fine dining restaurants, luxury hotels and exclusive resorts around the country. He is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, otherwise known as the C.I.A. (Top Secret…Shhh!) and has cooked for dignitaries and celebrities such as Julia Child, Former President George Bush Sr., First Lady Hillary Clinton, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, rock legends The Who and Aerosmith to name a few. Raised by southern parents from Savannah and given the rare opportunity to experience the world with his Air Force family, Chef Eric is able to bring home flavors from around the country and the world and marry them with fresh, local ingredients resulting in delicious “New International Southern Cuisine”.
