Datum Design Drafting Inc. (Datum) was established in 1988 as a Electro-Mechanical Engineering and Design Service organization in direct support of the Aerospace industry in the state of Arizona. Today, Datum supports an extensive range of industries and disciplines nationwide. 


Datum prides itself in being a responsive, professional and dynamic partner with its clients to address the challenges of 'time to market' and fluctuating internal staffing and resource requirements. Historically, the company has worked to supplement existing design and drafting resources for its clients. For some clients, Datum is the outsourced design and drafting department when internal staffing is not cost effective. In all cases, for 25 years the company has proven to bring the right talent mix for client communications, project management, and quality control that results in excellence of delivery and outstanding results.


Datum is a small business, with a network of Arizona-based consulting engineers spanning a wide range of disciplines. Datum’s CAD capability has evolved to address specific client needs. Datum has expanded its CAD design services over the years to now include, Pro-Engineer, Unigraphics NX, Solid Works, Autocad Inventor, Autocad Mechanical and RasterCAD. Datum provides production drawings based on customer concept designs and  specifications. Datum also develops new designs from customer defined requirements and supports design and build requirements.
