David Scott Norton is a singer of old-time, honky-tonk, country music. You can find him performing around the United States singing songs from the likes of Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, Marty Robbins, and more. He was born in Bangor, Maine, and learned to love old time country music from his father David Harold Norton of Ringgold, Georgia. David Scott started performing at live shows with his dad and his brother, Lester, around the age of five. He performed throughout each summer at campgrounds and outings. He formally studied music in his elementary school band and continued through High School playing the trumpet and baritone horn in the classical, jazz, and marching band.. In 1993, David started emceeing weekly Karaoke shows in Bangor, ME before taking a break from performing for nearly twenty years. While living in Philadelphia in 2004, David restarted his musical interest by learning guitar and performing at several local jams and open mics and was quickly performing his own shows in nightspots around Center City & South Street. David continued to perform and network with local musicians wherever his travels took him. Heβs played in New York, NY; Orlando, FL; Dayton, OH; Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; and more. In 2014, David recorded an EP in Los Angeles, CA that includes performances by prominent contributors to the vibrant country music scene he found in and around Hollywood. He has an extensive fan base through with over four thousand online subscribers to his social media and music websites.
