Davis Arts Center is a community-focused organization in California that provides arts education through camps, classes, and visual arts curricula aligned to state standards. Its programs aim to nurture creativity and support children’s mental and emotional well-being, with services that include classroom resources for schools, teacher professional development, and partnerships that leverage artistic expression to foster hope and healing. Serving a primarily educational and nonprofit sector, the center collaborates with local schools and community partners to bring arts into the broader Sacramento region, spanning transitional kindergarten through sixth grade and beyond. Based in Davis, the center has a long-standing history dating to 1960 and operates with a small team dedicated to expanding access to arts education for California children. A notable recent development is the appointment of a new executive director in July 2024, reflecting ongoing leadership changes and organizational growth.
