DAWN is a US-based organization in the international affairs sector, founded in 2018 by Jkhashoggi. Located in the District of Columbia, it conducts research and advocacy focused on the Middle East and North Africa, with an emphasis on governments connected to the United States through military, diplomatic, and economic ties. The group aims to influence U.S. foreign policy and international actors to uphold human rights obligations and to end support for abusive and undemocratic regimes, particularly in the region, while also providing a platform for MENA democracy exiles and regional experts to contribute ideas for a rights-respecting future.

DAWN focuses its work on policymakers and international stakeholders as its primary audience, seeking to address accountability for abuses and to amplify expert and activist perspectives from the region. In addition to policy advocacy, it positions itself as a forum for regional voices, aiming to shape discourse and influence practice concerning governance and human rights in the MENA context.
