DeepFactor developed a platform aimed at helping developers secure cloud-native applications by integrating security testing into the software development lifecycle. The company operated in the software development industry and was based in San Jose, California. In August 2024, Cisco Systems acquired DeepFactor and has since integrated the business under the Cisco brand. 
 
 As a small team, the company served developers and organizations building cloud-native software, addressing security needs throughout development. The move integrates DeepFactor into Cisco's security lineup, and in the same period Cisco also acquired Robust Intelligence.
