Defending Digital Campaigns is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization focused on improving cybersecurity for U.S. federal campaigns and national party committees. Authorized by the Federal Election Commission, the group works to provide campaigns and political parties with knowledge, training, and resources to defend against cyber threats, while facilitating secure information sharing among campaigns, parties, technology providers, law enforcement, and government agencies to detect and neutralize emerging threats. Based in Washington, D.C., the organization supports federal campaigns and related entities as they navigate digital security challenges, creating forums for cross-sector collaboration and threat response. Since its inception, DDC has formed partnerships with major technology and security firms and has expanded its network of collaborators to address evolving cyber risks in the electoral process.
