The Defense Information School or DINFOS has succeeded, since January 1946, to grow and sustain a corps of professional organizational communicators who fulfill the communication needs of our military services, government leaders and partner nations! For the last 60 years, DINFOS has trained communicators across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Allied nations to help their organizations achieve strategic and operational goals. The Defense Information School (DINFOS) is a DoD school located at Fort Meade, Maryland. The school trains more than 2,600 military, DoD civilian, international military, and interagency students a year across 18 basic, intermediate and advanced public affairs and visual information courses. Courses cover a variety of subject areas including public affairs, photography, photojournalism, broadcasting, broadcast maintenance, and multimedia.
