Deibel Laboratories started in 1967 by Dr. Robert Deibel, a true legend in the field of microbiology.  Dr. Deibel is regarded as one of the foremost experts on foodborne microbial issues. As one of the HACCP “Founding Fathers”, he expanded Dr. Howard Bouman's three HACCP Principles into five and provided the first ever HACCP Short Course to the industry in the 1970's. 

From his first testing lab based in the hallways of the University of Wisconsin, the company has grown into a lab network with locations across North America. Deibel Laboratories continues as a family-operated company now under the leadership of Dr. Deibel’s son, Charles Deibel.
