Founded in 1987 by Willis S. DeLaCour Jr. and Richard Ferrara, the firm of DeLaCour & Ferrara Architects, PC provides a full range of planning and architectural services.  Located in Brooklyn Heights, the firm is actively engaged in projects throughout New York City and has extensive experience in housing and institutional projects.

During their careers, both partners have been involved in over three thousand units of housing.  The residential jobs have included custom renovations of single dwelling units, the gut rehabilitation of multiple apartments in abandoned structures, the construction of new multi-family housing and the design of new modular one and two family houses.  

Whether the project is large or small, institutional or residential, the process of design begins by analyzing the specific needs of the client and translating them into an effective scheme.  This is accomplished by clarifying the use of the space, distinguishing between the necessary functions and desirable amenities while realizing the vision of the client.  We hold a strong belief in creating contextual, harmonious buildings that also maintain their individuality.  Although our style may vary depending on the client, budget and use, we try to install durable, lasting materials that implement the design while sustaining hard abuse.
