Delaware College Scholars (DCS) is an academically rigorous college preparation and college persistence program in the State of Delaware. For high-achieving public high school students with no clear path to college, DCS’ tuition-free residential program provides its scholars the opportunity to succeed. For three summers in a row, students live and learn together as they prepare for acceptance and graduation from competitive four-year colleges and universities. DCS’ intense college-level curriculum in a roundtable format not only prepares the scholars for college but also ensures they persist beyond freshman year.

To date, 92 percent of Delaware College Scholars, who are underserved and often the first in
their family to attend college, have gone on to four-year institutions of higher learning. 94
percent have remained in college beyond freshman year.
