The Delaware County Economic Development Corporation is a centralized location for all economic development in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. This award-winning agency operates as an umbrella organization for the administration of various economic development boards and authorities. Delaware County Economic Development Corporation (EDC): Formerly known as the Economic Development Oversight Board, was formed by Delaware County Council in 1990. The EDC is charged with encouraging economic development in the county. This entity does so through facilitating the retention of existing companies, assisting in the formation of and attraction of new businesses, and contributing to the vitality of the economy within Delaware County. It is the management authority for all of the other agencies under the Delaware County Economic Development Corporation.
