Delta Kappa Epsilon was founded at Yale on June 22, 1844 in order to establish a brotherhood "where the candidate most favored was he who combined in the most equal proportions the gentleman, the scholar, and the jolly good fellow." Since our inception, the Dekes have expanded to over 100 universities around the United States and Canada, including a number of the world’s most prestigious educational institutions. Amongst our list of alumni, we are honored to count many of modern history’s most influential leaders and titans of industry, including five US Presidents.
