The Dermatology Clinic of Idaho was started in November, 1978 by Dr. Gerald Overly.

In 1996 Dr. Stewart moved to Boise from California and joined the practice. He became a partner of the Dermatology Clinic in 1998. In April, 2004 Dr. Stewart became the sole owner of the clinic.

In May 2004 the Dermatology Clinic of Idaho opened an office in Eagle, Idaho. That office closed on May 2, 2014. In June of 2005 the Boise location had moved from it’s Curtis Street Location to it’s present location at 7733 W. Emerald Street in Boise. All providers and patients are now seen at the Emerald Street office.

In November 2007, Dr. Stewart opened the newest satellite office in Cascade, Idaho. Mariya Ostermiller, our Physician Assistant, joined in 2006 and started accepting patients in 2007. Physician Assistant Tyler McKinnon and Michael Housley both joined the practice in 2016. In the summer of 2017 both Dr Portela and Physician Assistant Chelsea Wood joined the medical staff.

The Boise location for the Dermatology Clinic of Idaho has office hours Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-4:00.

The Cascade office has Saturday hours from 9 am – 12 pm every other weekend.

The clinic employs 25 employees including the staff and providers.
