In 2014, Diffraction Limited acquired prominent CCD imaging systems company Santa Barbara Instrument Group (SBIG). Since the acquisition, SBIG products continue to be manufactured in the company's custom-built, ISO-9000:2015 accredited facility located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
