Inspired by the extraordinary life of the 17th century philosopher, theologian, writer, pirate, inventor and ‘father of the modern wine bottle’, Sir Kenelm Digby, the DIGBY FINE ENGLISH wines are elegant, spirited expressions of Englishness – with all its follies and foibles, modesty and refinement, its courage and curiosity… We work as a négociant in pursuit of the finest quality, carefully choosing our grapes and perfecting the art of blending across sites for a full taste of our ancient terroir. We’ve forged long-term relationships with the best vineyards out there (spanning Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset), selected according to the meticulous standards they employ. The diversity of these berries, blended and amply aged, allows us to achieve our hallmark richness of flavour and texture. In 2021, we acquired our very best Pinot site, Digby's Hilden Vineyard in Hildenborough, Kent, and we welcome guests to our Arundel Tasting Room for an English wine experience in the centre of this historic town.
