In 1996, thirty-seven physicians had the foresight to understand that in an ever-changing healthcare environment, a large, independent physician group would be better positioned to provide high quality, cost-effective care to their patients.  These physicians united to form Digestive Health Associates of Texas, P.A. (DHAT).  Since inception, DHAT has grown to over 80 Board Certified physicians, including 6 Pediatric GI physicians.   Now with greater than 40 locations across the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex, office infusion and anesthesia services, and the newly formed Research Institute (DRI), DHAT continues to be a leader in digestive health in the communities it serves.  

Our local, state and national leadership has been a bedrock of its claim to being an industry leader. DHAT’s strength is not only in the numbers, but in its longevity. Digestive Health seeks to partner with physicians who are committed to maintaining a private practice, while utilizing the advantages of a large group to help navigate the future health care landscape.
