Disabled Spectator is a small, disabled veteran-owned company in the entertainment sector, based in San Diego, California. It seeks to simplify access to live events for people with disabilities by addressing the challenges of obtaining accessible seating and finding reliable venue accessibility information. Founded by Kip Napier, a stroke survivor and former United States Marine Corps, along with co-founder Michael Saghi, the company is building a network to collect and share information on accessible bathrooms, parking, seating, concessions, and navigation at public venues. The venture targets people with disabilities and their family and friends, aiming to transform fragmented accessibility data into usable information and to bring this underserved market more reliably into venues. The organization also plans to sell accessible seat tickets and has announced a partnership with Ticketmaster in 2019.
