Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a 32,000-square-foot museum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee that combines environmental education with cultural exploration for visitors of all ages. It centers on STEAM learning through interactive galleries and exhibits designed to foster learning by doing, including a miniature Farmers Market, a Tiny Town, a train depot, a flight simulator, a two-story slide, Water Works, an aquarium with Tennessee aquatic life, and live animals. It hosts more than 120,000 children and families annually who come to explore the galleries, engage with programs, and tour the adjacent wetlands. Adjacent to the center is the protected Murfree Spring wetlands, featuring an elevated boardwalk and a lily pad pond that provide habitats for waterfowl and other wildlife and offer opportunities for observation and discovery. Regular hours run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with general admission priced at $8 for ages two and older and free for members; memberships for families start at $65. In May 2020, the center partnered with Five Senses Traveller to offer a take-home menu for a related event.
