Discovery Schools are open-enrollment charter schools dedicated to educating the whole child. Founded in 2013 by the Discovery Health Sciences Foundation, the network has expanded to include two high-performing schools in Jefferson Parish: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (KDHSA) and Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (DJOD). In August 2023, Discovery opened a third Type 2 charter school in Baton Rouge: Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD).
