DLC Ground Transportation Services is a family-owned and -operated business that has provided ground transportation for Westchester County Airport since 1981. DLC began with one car, and today maintains a fleet comprised of more than 30 vehicles. The shared vision of our founders, Chris and Douglas Thornton, was to provide our customers with excellence in service each and every time. Today our operation is managed by Chris and Douglas's daughter Melissa Thornton. Ms. Thornton, who took over the position of Chief Operating Officer in April 2008, grew up in the industry and drove for the company during her college years. She is committed to continuing the superb service that DLC's customers have come to expect. In 1981, Westchester County set about finding a vendor that could provide on-site taxi service to its airline passengers. It found us. We are extremely proud to be the provider of exclusive ground transportation to and from the airport, and to have successfully transported thousands of people throughout Westchester. For more than two decades, we've been setting the standard for our industry. We've driven more passengers than all other local taxi companies combined. Our safety and training procedures are second to none. DLC Ground Transportation Services (known formerly as DLC Car Service) has more than 28 years of experience serving corporations, local families and visitors to Westchester County. We are the only company with the security clearance to park on-site at the airport as well as provide curbside service.
