DMAX Foundation is a nonprofit organization in the mental health care space that focuses on young people on college campuses. Its core activity is establishing and supporting student-led DMAX Clubs that provide safe, trusting environments where peers can have honest conversations about mental health and support one another. The foundation also hosts educational events several times a year to complement the on-campus clubs. Founded in 2013 by Lee and Laurie Maxwell after the loss of their 18-year-old son to suicide, it is based in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. A recent development is the 2022 launch of the Help Us Grow campaign to expand the number of DMAX Clubs.
