Doctors of BC is a mid-sized professional association in the Hospitals and Health Care sector, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It collaborates with its physician members to improve health care for British Columbians by promoting engagement, collaboration, and physician leadership to support quality patient care. The organization aims to foster a social, economic, and political environment in which members can deliver high-standard care while achieving professional satisfaction and fair compensation. Governance rests with physician members elected annually to the Board, with the President acting as the primary spokesperson, and the organization supported by more than 60 committees that advocate on issues relevant to physicians and the public. Its primary audience comprises BC physicians and the broader health system, while advocating on behalf of patients to promote a high standard of care. Notably, in June 2026 the Province renewed the Physician Main Agreement with Doctors of BC for four years, signaling continued government collaboration.
