DOORWAYS is an interfaith nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri, that provides housing and related supportive services to people affected by HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1988, it has grown from a single apartment building into a multi-facility program that includes seven housing complexes, a residential care facility, and additional client services. Its work combines direct service delivery with partnerships to reach a broad geographic footprint, spanning the 15-county St. Louis metropolitan area and selected counties in Missouri and Illinois. The organization serves more than 600 adults and 300 children each month, illustrating its scale within HIV/AIDS housing and wrap-around support. Operating as a Missouri nonprofit corporation with IRC 501(c)(3) status, DOORWAYS solicits charitable contributions in Missouri and Illinois. In 2025, it pursued new community engagement initiatives, such as Advocacy Week, to raise awareness and support for life-changing housing and services for people living with HIV.
