Dorchester Paws is a private open-admission animal shelter and 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Dorchester County, South Carolina, based in Summerville. It accepts all lost, abandoned, and abused animals and provides food, shelter, and medical care until they find a home. The organization is the county’s only open-admission private shelter and operates under the Dorchester Paws name, having previously been known as Frances R. Willis SPCA.

Its operations have historically handled thousands of animals; in 2021, 3,841 cats and dogs passed through its doors, with 3,100 spayed or neutered on campus by a part-time veterinarian who works twice weekly. The facility has 180 kennels and has reported a 93 percent live release rate as part of its No Kill Community commitment. In 2023 it launched a Self Supported Rehoming program and expanded its pet supply pantry, and in 2026 it participated in a Pet Community Day event.
