The primary responsibility of a youth worker (someone who serves students primarily in a ministry context) is to support families by providing a safe environment for a student to be themselves and seek healthy relationships and guidance for their lives. The primary way youth workers spend their time is preparing for weekly programs/events in an attempt to create that safe environment. Because youth workers are typically under-resourced, financially and relationally, they often spending a disproportionate amount of time on logistics rather than in relationships. Download Youth Ministry (DYM) enables the youth worker to focus on their ministry to students and families by supporting them with high-quality, affordable resources they can plug into their ministry context quickly and easily. We help the youth worker look like a hero. We created Download Youth Ministry to help youth workers win in their vital role by providing resources that are: High in Quality: we won’t waste your time with inferior resources. Easy to Use: Our files are yours to edit and customize to your ministry context Inexpensive: We know what it means to work from a limited budget, DYM won’t break the bank! Trench-tested: practical tools that have already been proven in an actual youth ministry. Here's how it works: a youth worker submits a digital resource he/she created for his/her own ministry (a sermon or game, for example). That resource goes through a light-weight vetting and editing process then is published on the DYM store. That youth worker will receive, on average, 50% royalty on every unit sold. This model enables fresh, affordable, and seasonally- or culturally-relevant content year-round, which is critical for the youth worker connecting with his/her audience (teenagers). About the team: DYM was founded by two of Youth Ministry’s most influential thought leaders, writers, and speakers in the last couple of decades: Doug Fields and Josh Griffin.
