OUR FIRM DSI Architects is a Planning and Architectural Design firm located in Columbus, Ohio. The firm was founded by Dimitri G. Smirniotopoulos in 1995 to provide Architectural and Interior Design services specializing for all aspects of the Life Care market. The firm’s staff has collaborated in all forms of Senior Care facilities such as Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Transitional Care and Rehab facilities as well as Independent Living and Group Home design and Planning. The firm has expanded its services to provide strategic planning and pre-design services and to assist Clients with Code and existing building facility assessments. In addition, the firm is providing consulting services to a number of Architectural Design firms. OUR PHILOSOPHY The firm’s philosophy is based on listening to the Client, understanding the project and Client vision and creatively illustrating solutions that will make a meaningful difference to the Client and ultimately to the individual Resident. The firm’s approach is based on the Pre-Design interaction and collaboration with the Client to establish and validate the project Vision and Pro-forma. DSI Architects believes that meaningful Design should be in balance with technical and operational excellence. To implement this philosophy, Dimitri maintains an active and continuous role during the project process and participates with the Client in all design and operational decisions.3
