As one of the oldest arts councils in the country the Durham Arts Council fills not one, but three major goals:
Community Access to the Arts
DAC manages and operates the city-owned Durham Arts Council Building in historic downtown Durham. Our facility is the third largest visitor attraction in downtown Durham serving nearly 300,000 visitors each year, and is an extraordinary community resource for the City and the entire Triangle Region.
