Our mission is to develop and preserve sustainable, sun-grown farming methods to produce high-quality, genetically diverse, CBD-rich craft cannabis and hemp with a resolute commitment to environmental responsibility, science-based education, and social justice. 

Founded in 2015, East Fork Cultivars is one of Oregon’s leading Organic craft hemp and cannabis breeders and farms. 

Starting out, founders Nathan and Aaron Howard had one goal in mind: grow a superior plant-based CBD medicine to help relieve their oldest brother, Wesley Howard, from his range of medical conditions. It was witnessing the positive effects of CBD-rich cultivars that drove our desire to expand, so we could provide all Oregonians with the same access to CBD and cannabis therapeutics — and in turn to become stewards of the East Fork Ranch, a picturesque place nestled between the East Fork of the Illinois River and California’s Siskiyou Mountains. With craft hemp, we've expanded that mission beyond Oregon’s state boundaries. CBD is gentle to the body, but a powerful wellness optimizer. Growing cannabis, and now hemp, allows us to offer these products nationwide, furthering our mission of increasing access for all to superior plant therapeutics.

We created and operate CBD Certified, a rigorous cannabis science education program. We’ve presented CBD Certified (always free) to over 3,000 people and have partnered with groups like the Oregon Department of Agriculture and New Season’s Market to provide education for their staff and customers. We sell ready-to-consume products in 200+ licensed Oregon cannabis retailers, & supply the CBD-rich cannabis that powers dozens of infused product lines including Luminous Botanicals, Grön Chocolate, Laurie + MaryJane, Empower BodyCare, Echo Electuary, Mirth Provisions, Pax Era, and Quill. We recently began offering our USDA Organic Certified craft hemp products in another 40+ venues across the country and power all products from Grön CBD & Empower White Label.
