East Manatee Fire Rescue is a public-safety district based in Bradenton, Florida, established by the Florida Legislature to safeguard the eastern portion of Manatee County, including a large portion of the Lakewood Ranch area. The district covers about 100 square miles that combine a suburban landscape with substantial agricultural and forest land, and operates six fire stations that run around the clock. It provides fire suppression and emergency medical services to roughly 50,000 residents, 20,000 homes, and more than 1,900 businesses within its boundaries, supported by a fleet that includes six engines, one engine/tanker, and one engine/ladder. The district also maintains professional roles such as engineer/EMT and participates in local public-safety activities, including the Manatee County Honor Guard and Hazmat Team. In 2021, East Manatee Fire Rescue expanded through mergers with nearby services, Myakkafire (joined January 1, 2021) and Myakka City Fire Control (also joined in 2021).
