Founded in 1973, ETEC is a private, independent, regional 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership organization. CONVENE ETEC hosts a membership meeting every Friday featuring programs from experts in a variety of professional fields. Members have an opportunity to network with federal senior management, local business leaders, and elected officials. ETEC also hosts a number of events to bring partners together to promote growth and support missions. CATALYZE ETEC unites members to promote singular messages on critical issues and common missions. CHAMPION ETEC is strong advocate of regional initiatives in STEM education, advanced materials technology, and next generation energy development and deployment. ETEC interacts and educates our local, state, and national elected officials on key issues and projects to support the federal missions in the region. CELEBRATE ETEC annually honors members of the Oak Ridge community with two awards, the Muddy Boot and Postma Young Professional Medal, which serve as a tribute to individuals who make East Tennessee a stronger region through their hard work and community activities.
