East Tennessee Health Information Network (etHIN) is a non-profit, community-based Health Information Exchange established in 2005 to serve the information needs of healthcare organizations in Tennessee. etHIN’s purpose is to improve care quality, patient safety and outcomes while facilitating lower cost of whole person healthcare delivery. We will achieve this by aggregating and securely exchanging health information for the benefit and wellbeing of our citizens. etHIN uses state-of-the-art technology to provide quick access to patient information by authorized healthcare organizations, providing real-time access for medical decision-making, treatment, care coordination and public health purposes. etHIN makes health information sharing available to members of its trusted healthcare community, including physicians, clinics, diagnostic centers, hospitals, long term care facilities, home health and hospice, EMS, public health agencies, and other point-of-care healthcare organizations in Tennessee. By connecting and exchanging data through etHIN, participants can access real-time health information that helps them provide safe, high quality care. Visit www.ethin.org to learn more.
