Started in 1976 as the vision of founder Elmer L. Andersen, the Company has grown from one paid circulation weekly newspaper and shopper to its current operations including four divisions: publishing, printing, digital media and distribution. ECM is looking to the future as one of Minnesota’s largest local news organizations serving over 650,000 households. Printing operations include a full service commercial printing office in Coon Rapids from graphic design to the finished printed piece. ECM's web printing plant in Princeton has the most non-heat single-width commercial capability in the upper Midwest and provides full 4-color capability, state of the art electronic pre-press featuring PDF workflow, digital proofing, and computer-to-plate technology. ECM has a complete post press department including saddle-stitch bindery, machine inserting, and full mailing capability featuring ink-jet addressing.

ECM Distribution delivers newspapers, shoppers, catalogs, free standing inserts, telephone directories and sample products from strategically located warehouse operations in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
