Ecofficiency is a lifestyle and consumer ethic encouraging us to actively maximize the positive impacts we have on the world by seeking balance between economy, ecology, and equity. Each of us, as an individual consumer, has the ultimate power in shaping our consumer systems and their effects. As we all know, with great power, comes great responsibility. Unfortunately, we have allowed our consumer systems to result in numerous social and environmental problems…catastrophes in many instances. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can consume smarter. It’s simply a matter of commitment. This commitment starts at the individual level – with you and me. Our mission is to promote lifestyle choices and consumer behavior that result in positive impacts on society and the environment. By educating our communities and developing unique action plans, we inspire change at the grassroots level.
