Ecology in Classrooms and Outdoors (ECO) is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hands-on, ecology-based enrichment learning opportunities that are an integral part of the elementary school experience. ECO inspires students to become connected to the world around them and empowers them to become positive agents of change within their communities as our future leaders. ECO focuses on ecology because it is an accessible science that promotes observation and investigation, as well as environmental awareness. We work with children both in the classroom and outdoors with the goal to inspire long-term interest in science exploration and the environment. ECO currently provides Ecology Programs to elementary schools in Portland Public Schools, North Clackamas School District, Corbett School District and select private schools. If you are a parent, teacher or principal interested in bringing ECO to your school donβt hesitate to contact us!
