EIP delivers high-quality restoration and conservation projects across the United States by acquiring, restoring, and permanently protecting priority conservation properties, and selling the mitigation credits to customers who must offset their unavoidable environmental impacts.

Mitigation credits from EIP enable public and private customers to satisfy the requirements of environmental permits quickly and cost-effectively while eliminating liability exposure.  EIP's mitigation banks are approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies to fulfill mitigation requirements of Section 404 Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act permits, when impacts to wetlands, streams, and endangered species are unavoidable.
