Ed focuses his coaching on two groups. The first group includes those nearing retirement and unsure about their options and those already retired who want to take better advantage of their time. The second group is college graduates or dropouts who have not yet identified a career path and could benefit from coaching as they seek a direction. Ed has been retired for almost six years and loves it. Previously, he worked in commercial real estate for many years, had his own company, which focused on brokerage, development and management. Mentoring young brokers brought Ed great satisfaction. Ed feels that the coaching process can be immensely helpful to those individuals who have reached a point in their life when they don’t know what their next step should be or have identified a goal but need help to get there. Ed views coaching as a co-creative process where the client is fully engaged and committed. The client’s active participation is essential to achieve a successful goal. Ed is an excellent listener and asks open-ended questions that stimulate the client’s intelligence and imagination which contribute to achieving one’s goals.
