Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson is a mid-sized book and periodical publisher based in Trento, Trentino-South Tyrol. It was founded in 1984 by Dario Ianes and Fabio Folgheraiter and began as a centre for reintegration and rehabilitation of people with mental disabilities, conducting research, training, and consulting in teaching and social work. With Italian laws promoting inclusion of people with disabilities in schools and workplaces, Erickson reframed its work as cultural mediation, translating and publishing theories, methodologies, and experiences from the United Kingdom and the United States that found broad reception in Italy.
Today the company focuses on providing ideas, methodologies, and practical tools to support professionals who work on the integration of people with disabilities, learning difficulties, remediation and support, social problems, and adolescence. It operates within the book and periodical publishing industry, translating international perspectives for an Italian audience and building resources for education and related social fields. Based in Trento, the firm is positioned as a mid-sized publisher serving educators, psychologists, and social workers who address inclusion in practice.
