eHealth Exchange is a nonprofit health information network that operates as a trusted, vendor-agnostic platform enabling secure exchange of patient records across a broad health ecosystem. It serves federal agencies, private-sector partners, and a wide range of healthcare providers by connecting more than 30 electronic health record systems, thousands of medical groups, and a large number of hospitals, dialysis centers, and laboratories across 34 states, with active participation in every state. The network supports a substantial volume of data exchanges and is recognized for data quality, governance, privacy, and transparency, underpinning cross-system interoperability and public health objectives. Based in Tysons, Virginia, the organization has a long-standing role in enabling inter-organizational data sharing for both government and private entities, and it now participates in TEFCA as a Designated QHIN, connecting to other national health information networks.
